My Version Of Old Singapore Videos Remake For National Day 2008

This is my version of plagraism – a remake by editing all old Singapore videos together.

I give credit to all original sources, but it’s getting late now and I’ll put in the credits next few days time (pls bear with me). If I left you out, kindly inform me…

Thanks to Victor who SMS to highlight that video to me and gave me the inspiration. Took me 2 days to do it and rushing to post it up on National Day. Though it’s already 11.12pm now, hope you enjoyed it as it’s terribly done.

———————————————————————————-

Let me append the following today;

Though it’s our 43rd National Day this year, but let’s not forget about our past. I’ve put together some old videos from some very good sources (credit to them) and hope you all like it. As I’m using the Adobe Premiere Element 1 (given free with videocam) and my pc is rather slow, so it had taken me quite sometime to do it. Moreover to convert videos from Youtube to .avi is rather slow…

Here are the credits to the original sources and should I left out any, pls let me know:

– Michael Rogge

– Rony Tan

– Dick Lee

– Kit Chan

    Nice!

I like the part you mix old footages and Kit Chan’s Home. Ah, so that was home for you oldies?

Btw, was it deliberate on your part? The SIA plane shows up just when “in the air” was played (4:47).

I thot the portion of an old lady looking up the Asia Insurance Bdlg (now Ascott at Raffles Place) was the same woman who mourned for the death of her son.

I saw her squatting at the former Overseas Union House (there was a small SHELL petrol station selling bunker fuel for the bum boats) in the late 1950s/early 1960s starring up at that building. It was my father who related to me about her son who died during the construction of that building in 1952 or 1953.

Thank you for the very nice video. Didn’t know that an sms would give you 2 days of work though. Haha.

Thanks Icemoon and I’m glad you like it. Yes the part where the plane was in the air was specially edited to merge with the song.

Thanks Peter, somehow your comments ended up in the SPAM box (don’t know why sometimes this happen in WordPress, probably due to high security hehe). Already Despam it and shown in the Comments, thanks.
You may be right, Peter. That woman was caught in the video by Michael Rogge then and quoted to be “cursing” the building.

Thanks Victor, when I received your sms I thought you asked me if I got the video footages (misread your message “Ch U got the old video footages…”). I read it as “Ch, U got the …”, you know what I mean right? Haha.

I enjoyed this video very much. Not just for the content but also for the emotions that you have clearly put into it. Thanks for the effort and for sharing it.
